Last month, residents of two Levenshulme streets got together and formed The Fairbourne and Molyneux Residents’ Association.
Eager to get started on improving the neighbourhood – extending their invitation to residents of nearby Barlow Road and Dorset Road – they held a meeting on 2nd June, at which there were thirty-three residents plus Councillors Peter Cookson and Julie Reid.
A week later, they held a clean-up and managed to shift bundles of weeds and bags of fly-tipped rubbish from the alleyways.
On 30th June, this new grassroots group will be holding another meeting at St Mark’s Church, where cleanliness and traffic calming will be the likely topics for discussion. If you live on Molyneux, Barlow, Dorset or Fairbourne Roads, go along at 11:00 a.m. to find out what is happening and how you can get involved.
